Program description
We send automated SMS to end users who have explicitly opted in, for the purpose of:
- Account updates (password changes, profile changes)
- Security alerts (new device login, suspicious activity)
- Information verification (one-time codes, confirmation requests)
- Transactional confirmations for a service the user requested
How end users opt in
End users opt in by visiting our website and providing their phone number during the account registration or profile update process. They must check a non-pre-ticked checkbox explicitly agreeing to receive automated SMS for account updates, security alerts, and information verification. This consent is recorded in our database along with a timestamp and IP address. Users are informed that they can opt out at any time by replying STOP.
The exact checkbox label shown to end users is:
"I agree to receive automated SMS from D2 Digital for account updates, security alerts, and information verification. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help. See Privacy Policy and SMS Terms."
Message frequency
Message frequency varies based on account activity. Most users receive fewer than 4 messages per month. High-activity users may receive more. We never send promotional or marketing SMS under this program.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier plan. D2 Digital does not charge you for receiving SMS.
How to opt out

Supported carriers
Major U.S. carriers including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and most MVNOs. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Data handling
We collect and store:
- Your phone number
- Opt-in timestamp and IP address
- Message delivery status (sent / delivered / failed) returned by Twilio
- Opt-out status (if and when you reply
STOP)
We do not sell, rent, lease, or share your phone number or mobile opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. Phone numbers and consent records are shared only with Twilio Inc. (our licensed telecom provider) strictly to deliver the SMS you have consented to receive.
Retention of consent records
Consent records (opt-in and opt-out) are retained for the entire lifetime of your relationship with D2 Digital and for at least 4 years after opt-out, to comply with TCPA and Twilio audit requirements.
